Collection Care Day

UPDATE : Fully Subscribed. We've had a fantastic response to our call out and have closed the registration form.

Our collection of books is a cornerstone of the house, representing Ngaio Marsh’s personal library and a reflection of her intellectual pursuits. There are many treasures to discover! Over time, even the most well-preserved books require careful cleaning to protect them from the ravages of dust and age. This is where we need your help.

We are calling on volunteers to assist us with caring for the collection. Whether you have previous experience in caring for heritage collections or are a keen learner, your contribution will be invaluable. Expert guidance will be provided throughout the day to ensure that each book is handled with the utmost care and respect.

Join us: Sunday, August 4, 2024, 10am to 3pm

If you are passionate about heritage preservation and would like to lend a hand, please complete the registration form here.

Trustee Louisa Vowles says: 'Volunteering at the Ngaio Marsh House is a chance to contribute to the preservation of a local heritage gem, and an opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of one of New Zealand’s literary icons.'
