Ngaio Marsh and Heritage Trust is delighted to be a partner in a new exhibition about Dame Ngaio Marsh.
The exhibition will uncover Dame Ngaio Marsh’s work and life as a crime writer, theatre director, a painter and a mentor.
The Trust has worked closely with the organisers, and owner of items in our collection, to loan works for display in the exhibition including photographs, art, manuscripts, theatre programmes and one of Dame Ngaio’s signature berets.
We’d like to thank owners of items in our collection for agreeing to the loan, in particular the Dacres-Mannings family and Trust curator Dr Bruce Harding.
The exhibition opens on Saturday 27 August and runs until Sunday 27 November 2022.
We’re also running our very own event during the exhibition – Diaries of a Dame, which will take place at Turanga on Sunday 23 October.
